This is a question we get asked a lot - how does Silver Bullet compare to GHD? There are a few key differences which play a big part in how each brand performs.
Variable heat controls from 80°C to 230°C
Variable heat controls allow you to set the temperature to match your hair type. If you have thin hair, you will likely want to use a lower temperature and if you have thicker hair you'll want to bump the temperature up.
Higher top-end temperature
The Silver Bullet Keratin 230 range goes all the way up to a class-leading 230°C. While everyone's ideal temperature will be different, 230°C is the recommended temperature for people with permanently straightened hair via keratin treatment.
Value for Money
Silver Bullet provides amazing value compared to GHD. More features, more control and a lower price point provides the most value for money.
Fixed heat controls
GHD straighteners don't provide any temperature controls; you're stuck with a fixed temperature based on what GHD thinks you need. All hair types are different and one temperature isn't perfect for every hair type and situation.
Fixed top-end temperature
The highest temperature GHD straighteners go to is a fixed 185°C which for some hair types simply isn't hot enough. If you have permanently straightened hair by way of a keratin treatment, GHD straighteners won't get hot enough to effectively work with this treatment.
You pay for the brand
There is no doubt with GHD you're paying a lot for the brand which they've built over a long period of time. Unfortunately you do give up flexibility and performance compared to Silver Bullet which means you don't get as much value for money.

I love my Silver Bullet straightener!
I was lucky enough to have been able to purchase it at a heavily discounted price through 1 of my hairdressing tutors while i was doing my 1st year of hairdressing training .
