I rarely write reviews but I love this product. I have used Dark Loving Tan for a couple of years now and just loved it but I decided to give Olive Minetan a go as it was cheaper, the reviews were very good and I have really fair skin. I have been pleasantly surprised as I am really fussy when it comes to tans. There is pretty much no fake tan smell or fragrance which is great and better than Loving Tan smell. Only a slight tan smell at the end of the 3 hour processing time and once washed off it is super faint if hardly any smell. It dries well and is only a tiny bit sticky but easy to get things done whilst processing. I put the tan on my face and hands at the 1.5 hour mark as I don’t like these areas too dark.
I love the colour. Loving Tan is abit deeper and slightly orangey compared and I only wear it in Australia. But the Olive Minetan is a more olive/mocha colour which is better for NZ and I don’t look too dark or fake. It is hard to make a mistake with the application as it blends so well. I
shave and moisturise the day before then 24 h later apply to dry skin but I don’t wash off the moisturiser from the day before otherwise it can dry my skin slightly. So I moisturise daily and this also helps to maintain the colour and no patches. I also double moisturise the normal patchy spots like feet, ankles, knees and elbows before application. I also do a double layer of colour over the sunkist spots like calf muscles, top arms, thighs and shoulders. I get about 5 applications with this bottle.
The tan lasts me 7 to 8 days with no swimming and about 5 to 6 with swimming in a pool or ocean. I make sure I don’t swim for too long and just pat dry. I use the Bondi Sands Self Tan Eraser to remove my tan and a washer. I find the exfoliating gloves too rough and they make my skin itch. My only critic would be it does come off on my white sheets as it naturally fades probably more than Loving Tan but I just use Napisan wash to remove the slight tan look – its not overly bad and does not deter me from buying. How to use

For a streak-free self tan:

Apply to clean, exfoliated skin using our Bronze On Applicator Mitt
Use sparingly on elbows, knees and ankles. Wash hands after application.
Rinse in lukewarm water after 1-3+ hours

Choose How Dark You Want To Go. Shower in 1 hour for a natural tan. Leave on longer, for a deeper darker skin finish. Rinse with lukewarm water only for 45 seconds. Do not use soap or scrubs. Following your first shower your tan will continue to deepen in color over the next 24 hours. Regular showering may be taken 8-16 hours after application.

We recommend using our Bronze On Applicator Mitt and using only 40ml / 1.35fl oz per full body tan. You should achieve 4-6 tans per bottle. If you dare double coat we recommend using only 60ml / 2 fl oz.
